Is Beauty an illusion and those chasing it illusionary?
I came across a very profound and beautiful piece of poetry. The topic reflects the last two lines of that poetry only. After reading such a beautiful piece of work I felt like penning down my thoughts on this.
Beauty as per me is not an illusion nor one who is chasing it is illusionary.
Saying this we need to realize something important that is -
An illusion has everything to do with this physical world. It is like a dream that we are into and what all we see in the dream is nothing more but an illusion. Once we wake up neither the dream survives nor the illusion.
The beauty we define in this world is a subjective term. For some beauty may be:
- fair skin
- good physic
- long hair
- eyes
- nature
- music, and so on
If we pay heed to all these beauties stated above they fade away with time. This makes it an illusion.
Remember anything subjective can never be the truth. As truth always and always remains one. Truth never changes nor does it fades away with the time.
True beauty lies within all of us. The one that is eternal and that just keeps on beautifying itself the more we get in touch with it.
food for thought:
Don't we get bore of the same music, art, food, place, and any other thing and then look for something new to keep the beauty alive.
Doesn’t it make you realize that whatever we stated beauty earlier is not real but an illusion?
Doesn’t it raise a question what is the true beauty and where to find it?
